Elizabeth Austin Hall's Obituary
Elizabeth Austin Hall, 59, passed away January 6, 2015 at Novant Medical Center in Huntersville N.C. after a brief illness while visiting her step sons and grandchildren. She is the daughter of Richard D. Austin Sr. (deceased) and Joy Austin-Files. She is survived by her husband, C. Alan Hall; sister, Edith Austin Robinson and her husband, Dr. Kenneth; brother, Richard D Austin Jr. and his wife, Sharon; aunt, Elissa Austin Todd and her husband, G. Carroll; two stepsons, C. Alan Hall Jr. and his wife, Jo and Branden Hall and his wife, Stacie; and four grandchildren, Delaney, Connor, Riley, and Maddi all of Huntersville NC, along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews all of Memphis. Beth attended Hutchison School and University of Memphis .She was a devout Christian. She enjoyed a successful business career in consumer retail and later founded the unique multi- state marketing firm, Prestige Demo’s that pioneered how manufacturers showcased their products in retail stores throughout the U.S. Beth loved her garden and was a member of the Memphis Garden Club, Memphis Botanic Gardens, and Dixon Gallery and Gardens. She cherished her time in Destin, FL. and Harbor Springs, MI. where she vacationed since childhood with family and friends, and was a member of The Little Harbor Club there. She was an avid dog lover and adopted several Rescue Dogs. Beth enjoyed a wide circle of friends due to her vivacious personality and genuine love and concern for people. There will be a visitation at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Sunday evening, January 11 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and funeral services at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 12 at Church of Holy Communion with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Beth may be made to Little Traverse Conservancy, Harbor Springs, MI; St Jude Children’s Hospital, Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County or charity of the donor’s choice.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, (901)767-8930, “Behind the Stone Wall”.
