Elizabeth Manly Friedman Tredway's Obituary
Elizabeth Manly Friedman Tredway, known to all as Betty, joined her family in heaven on June 24, 2022. A strong & adventuresome woman who traveled extensively, Betty was a devoted wife and a
loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. During her life, Betty was a member of the Grand Krewe of Ennead and Shelbi, Memphis Wine and Food Society, the International Wine & Food Society and the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs. Adored by all whom she knew, Betty never met a stranger.
She is preceded in death by her husbands Charles Manly, Jr. and Jay Fred Friedman. She leaves her sons Charles Manly III, Steven Manly & E.J. Friedman along with her daughter-in-law Mariann Manly, granddaughters Brigitte Hammond & Stefanie Widmer, and her great grandchildren Heidi Hammond and Tucker Hammond. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 10:30 am at 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119. In lieu of flowers her family requests contributions be made in her name to a charity of your choice. For all who knew her, we ask you to raise a glass of wine in her honor to celebrate her being a part of your life.
