Elizabeth Maxine Crume's Obituary
Elizabeth Maxine Crume, 88, passed away April 29, 2011. At 4 days old, in 1923, she was found abandoned in a car and adopted by J. F. and Emma Phemfert. Despite loosing her birth and adoptive parents early in life, Elizabeth went on to overcome her adversity and open her heart to many. She was kind, accepting, and giving–a mom to many, friend to all. She was very devoted to her family and her church, Immanuel Lutheran Church. Even only recently, she enjoyed the music and fellowship at the Boozefighters Motorcycle Club, Chapter 57’s clubhouse. Elizabeth graduated from Treadwell High School. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, George Crume; daughter, Calla Jean; and son, Johnny. She is survived by her son, Chuck Crume (Lisa); Barbara Dunlap (Michael); seven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 3 and funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 4 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials should be sent to a charity of the donor’s choice.
