Elizabeth Gertrude Bryant's Obituary
Elizabeth Gertrude Bryant of Germantown, Tennessee passed away on July 13, 2019. “Trudy” was born on February 2, 1935 to parents Frank and Mary Morrison in Grenada, Mississippi. After graduating from high school, she attended Delta State where she met her husband Owen Parker Bryant. They were married for 63 years and had two daughters. Trudy was a devoted English teacher in the Dallas area for 30 years. She especially enjoyed teaching literature and poetry. She is survived by her daughter Lisa Luiken, her three grandchildren Grant Luiken, Lindsey Stephens, and Caroline Luiken and her three great grandchildren Drew, Davie, and Wyatt. She is preceded in death by her husband Owen Parker Bryant and her daughter Debra Ann Bryant. A graveside service will be held at Grenada Memorial Gardens at 10:00 A.M. on July 20th by pastor John Boler of First Baptist Church, Grenada. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be directed to the charity of the donors choice.Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38119 (901) 767-8930. “A Fitting Farewell for Everyone”.
