Elizabeth "Beth" Tyre Dajnowicz's Obituary
On Friday, May 20th 2021, Elizabeth (Beth) Tyre Dajnowicz lost her 7 year battle with Breast Cancer. She never let this disease hold her back from enjoying life. At the age of 47, Beth is survived by her parents Alex and Jean Tyre, her brother, Andrew and Julie Tyre, husband, Matthew, and two children; Avery and Holden as well as her two four-legged babies, Brooklyn and Rambo.
Beth was born September 10th, 1974 to Alex and Jean Tyre in Athens Ohio. She graduated from Ohio University in 1992 with a BS in Industrial Hygiene. She was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority. Beth was working at Honda of America Manufacturing when she met Matthew Dajnowicz; they later married on December 30, 2000. They spent 3 years living in Japan and traveling the world. They later returned to Ohio and in 2006 when they welcomed their first baby, Avery, into this world and shortly thereafter their second child, Holden, in 2008. Beth and her family moved to Memphis in 2009 where they raised their two children. Both children attend Briarcrest Christian School.
In additional to an Industrial Engineering role at International Paper, Beth enjoyed being involved with her children’s extracurricular activities. For two years she was the Briarcrest boys’ elementary basketball coach. She has also volunteered her time to support the Briarcrest Varsity Girls Lacrosse team. In her free time, she absolutely loved refinishing furniture. She was also a talented artist who enjoyed painting and drawing. Beth was also known to knit scarves, mittens, gloves, and hats. She was truly a creative person. Beth had a bright and energetic personality. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life.
There will be a life celebration on May 25th at the Memorial Park Funeral Home. (5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN). A social gathering will start at noon with the service starting promptly at 1PM (CST).
