Dr. Gruisin was truly a pioneer. I was in her News Writing class and in her Mass Communication Law class at the Memphis State University/University of Memphis many many moons ago. I admired her love for journalism and her knowledge about communication law. She was a gentle spirit and had the kindest heart. I only wish that all of today’s journalists had the opportunity to learn journalism and newswriting the right way from Dr. Gruisin.
