I will miss seeing Eliane at the Dixon, it was always such a pleasure having her here. She always had interesting things to tell me and she was always curious and ready to learn new things. Alann, I hope to see you at the museum soon!

Dear Alann, Angela, Alex and Family.
I loved Eliane so much. As a young child (and adult), she always gave me hugs and smiles that told me how much she loved me as her niece. I treasure the memories I have with her, as well as the time I spent a week in Memphis in the spring of 1997. Eliane will always have a very special place in my heart. Griffin and I are so very sorry for the loss of your wife and mother. We will miss her very much. With much love and sympathy,
Cathy and Griffin Surowka
Dear Alann, Angela, and family – So sorry for your loss. It was such a joy knowing all of you. I remember when I met Elaine over at the Highland Branch Library. I still have the copy of her book that she autographed and gave to me. Eliane’s smile was contagious, and Alann, your loving care for her was true witness of God’s love for all of us. I will be out of town next week, so unfortunately will not be able to celebrate with you at her Mass, but I will be praying for all of you on Tuesday morning. She is brightening the gathering of the faithful at the Lord’s banquet…I am SURE of it. Peace to you all.
My prayers are with you all. Thank you for allowing me to come into your home and caring for Mrs. Eliane.
To the family: May the love of friends, family and Almighty God carry you through your grief. God promises us at Revelation 21:1, 4 a time when ‘…he will wipe away every tear from our eyes; and death will be no more; neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more:” I am sorry for your loss
