Electa Elizabeth Roberts' Obituary
Mrs. Electa Elizabeth Beall Roberts age 97, of Hernando, Mississippi passed away on October 18, 2022 in Watkinsville, Georgia.
She was born on October 9, 1925 in Mayfield, California (Now known as Palo Alto, CA) to the late George E. Beall and Electa E. Birkett Beall.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred W. Roberts and a son, Fred W. Roberts, Jr.
Mrs. Roberts grew up and attended school in Bakersfield, California, she had fond memories and loved telling stories of her high school class assisting the war efforts, by picking produce due to the labor shortage in exchange for time off from school.
She moved to Memphis in 1967 and was an all-American Mom raising her family and tending to all things on the home front. Later when her husband Fred retired, they built their dream home and relocated to the country around Hernando, Mississippi and kept horses. She loved cooking, sewing and riding the family's Tennessee Walking Horse, Black Bart.
She and Fred were married for fifty-four years before his passing in 2003.
Survivors include one son, David R. Roberts and wife Kathy of Lake Oconee, Georgia; one daughter in law, Janie Roberts of York, South Carolina; one granddaughter, Kelly R. Frazier and husband Tom of Rock Hill, South Carolina and one great granddaughter.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Roberts will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Mission of Memphis, 1306 Monroe Ave, Memphis TN 38104, 901.552.7038 in memory of Mrs. Roberts.
