Elease M. Johnson's Obituary
Elease M. Johnson, 80, retired teacher from Hamilton High School passed away on Monday, January 9, 2012 at Belmont Village. She was born in Nashville, TN in 1931. She graduated from Pearl High School and Tennessee State University. She was a member of MEA, TEA, NEA, NAACP, and was an active in the Cherokee Heights Neighborhood Association. Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Johnson. Services will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home with the visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. until the service time at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 14. Entombment will be in the Memorial Park Mausoleum. Surviving relatives are Pamela White (Mitchell), Mitchell Allen White II and Gloria W. Cox. The family would like to thank the PALS at Belmont Village Memory Care Unit for their loving and devoted care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, 326 Ellsworth St., Memphis TN 38111.
