Eleanor Leeke's Obituary
Eleanor Green Leeke, 88, of Memphis, TN flew to Jesus on July, 22, 2015 which was only one day before her 89th birthday. Her death was caused by kidney failure after a long illness. She was born in Louisville, MS on July 23, 1926 to Charlie and Cordelia Green. She was from a large and loving family. She was also a faithful member of Bellevue Baptist Church under four pastors. She was the devoted wife of Joe Leeke who has been in heaven waiting to greet her since 1997. She is survived by her only child, Rose Leeke Kelly and her husband Sid Kelly who was like a son to her. She also leaves three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren who were her pride and joy. Ben Kelly. (Kathryn), Sam Kelly (Lauren), and Anna Pearson (Nick). Visitation will be Sunday, July 26 from 1:30-2:30 at Memorial Park funeral home on Poplar Ave. with a short graveside service to follow. Eleanor, also affectionately know as Nonny and Aunt Sister, knew Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior and wanted others to know Him as well. Any memorials may be made to the Mission Fund of Bellevue Baptist Church, 2000 Appling Rd., Cordova, TN 38016.
