Eldon Johnson's Obituary
Deacon Eldon E. Johnson, 88, of Memphis, passed away October 13 at Ave Maria Home in Bartlett. He was a retired Fire Investigator with the Memphis Fire Department. In his capacity as a deacon, he served his church and community by running St Mary’s soup kitchen in downtown Memphis for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley and a sister Doris. He is survived by a brother Frank and a sister Linda. He has 2 sons, Ed (Phyllis) and Mike (Peggy) and 3 grandchildren Jennifer, James, and Catherine. Visitation will be at Memorial Park on Monday, October 17 from 5-7PM. A funeral mass will be conducted at St. Anne Church on Highland on Tuesday, October 18 at 10AM, with burial to follow at Memorial Park.
