Edwin "Butch" Schlessinger's Obituary
Edwin “Butch” Schlessinger Jr., passed away November 4, 2018 at 69 years old. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen, his devoted daughters Kristen and Leigh Ann, his brothers Dennis (wife: Maryann) and Thomas (wife: Wendy), and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Sr., his mother, Mary, and his sister Katherine “Kathy” Tower.Butch led a life of service to others first as a Sargent in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and as a volunteer firefighter for the Mineola Fire Department. He retired from Fire Communications in Nassau County, NY after 20 years of dedicated service.
