Edwin Poole's Obituary
Edwin Harold Poole, 88, passed away May 10, 2016. He was born November 7, 1927 in Humboldt, TN. A graduate of Humes High School, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and graduated from the University of Memphis. He worked as a comptroller with City of Memphis Hospitals and the Cook Convention Center. He is survived by his daughters, Julia Wilfong (Bill) and Lisa Hooten (Mark); granddaughters, Emily Hooten and Laura Miller; great-granddaughter, Amelia Miller; close friend, Anita Jefferies; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carroll Poole; parents, Eva and Louis Poole; and six brothers and sisters. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, May 13 and funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, May 14 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to Decatur Trinity Christian Church.
