Edwin McLain Jones' Obituary
Edwin McLain Jones, 92, passed away on June 5th at his home in Tiptonville, Tennessee. Ed graduated from Clemson University and upon graduation was commissioned into the Army Air Corps. He served as a captain and flew a B17 in the Pacific Theater during World War II. After moving to Memphis, Ed was employed by Hartford Insurance as a safety engineer. Preceded in death by his wife Marjorie, Ed leaves a brother, Carroll Jones of Clayton, North Carolina, and four children and their spouses: Steve and Kathie Jones of Rossville; Randy and Carol Jones of Tucker, GA; Nancy and Dennis Earles of Coral Springs, FL; and Christy and Ed Anderson of Atlanta, GA. He also leaves seven grandchildren: Tricia and Nise Earles, Scott and Ryan Jones, Whitney Myatt, Brian Jones, and Hunt Anderson and three great-grandchildren.Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, June 10th with burial in Memorial Park.
