Edward Zavodny's Obituary
EDWARD F. ZAVODNY, SR., 88, born and raised in Buffalo, NY, died December 30, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Memorial Park Funeral Home, with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 3 at St. Michael Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Zavodny served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, communicant at St. Micheal Catholic Church since its inception. He retired from Quaker Oats Company after 37 years of service, was an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus-Council 616, and an active participant in the Commercial and Industrial Fire Prevention Association. He is survived by Genevieve S. Zavodny his wife of 65 years; two sons, Thomas A.J. Zavodny and Edward F. Zavodny, Jr.; and three grandchildren, Olivia G. Zavodny, T. Arthur J.
