Edward Brantley Scrimger, Sr.'s Obituary
Edward Brantley Scrimger, Sr. passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Evelyn Craft Scrimger for more than 69 years. He was much loved by his two children, Carolyn Scrimger Carter and Edward Brantly Scrimger, Jr.; his five grandchildren, Brantly Carter, Catherine Carter, Constance Carter, Analisa Sondergaard, and Alan Scrimger; and his five great-grandchildren. He was a career civil servant, with assignments in the Government Printing Office, the Department of Agriculture, and the Department of Defense. As a devoted Christian, Mr. Scrimger would like any memorials to be sent to the church of the donor’s choice. A visitation will be held from 1:30 until 2:00 Tuesday, December 15, 2009 for family and friends with a service to follow in the Rotunda within the Mausoleum at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.
