Edward Wallace Palmer, 93, of Somerville, TN passed away on March 17, 2022.
Mr. Palmer was born on October 7, 1928 in New Kensington, PA, to Edward James Palmer and Sara Grace Hall Palmer.
Mr. Palmer was known by his nickname Flip that he acquired from his service in the Navy, Officer of Memphis Police department for over 30 years serving as Captain and instructor of the self-defense training, Boy Scout Leader, Member of Decatur Trinity Christian Church for almost 70 years serving as a deacon, avid swimmer, bodyguard to many in Memphis, head of security at Peabody Hotel, expert marksman trick shooter and so much more….
Flip is survived by his wife, Eleanor McMillen Palmer, daughter, Marilyn Richardson, grandchildren, Stephanie (Cody) Petters, Rachelle (Clay) Thompson and Wendy McCrary, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, March 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home with a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery.
