I worked at Crump Aviation while an undergrad at Memphis State in the ‘80’s. He was simply the best boss I ever had. I’ve thought of him many times through the years, and for years to come. Tricia Murchison Long
Butch and I were business associates, and later good friends, since 1974. We met many times - in Memphis, London and NYC. We grew older together, mostly via our phone calls during which he would regale me with his stories, many of which I now can repeat verbatim. I'll miss him very much and, although I know his passing was peaceful, nevertheless I deeply mourn his loss. RIP friend.
So sorry to hear the passing of Butch.
I met Butch in the early eighties in the Insurance business and we became good friends.
To say Butch was a sports enthusiast is an understatement. Butch was the commissioner of our Fantasy Football League for over Twenty Years and he and His partner won the trophy more times than all teams combined!
I miss his daily phone calls and wonderful stories.
God Speed Butch!
