Alicia L Smith
Bishop Steven M. Arnold, Board of Elders, Officers, and Members of the Grace United Church of Little Rock, Arkansas, extend our most profound expression of sympathy to the Hurlburt Family as you celebrate the life and legacy of your loved one, Edward Preston Hurlburt, Jr. Our faith teaches us to rejoice that "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." We want to acknowledge “Preston’s” physical presence will be greatly missed.
We, the members of Grace United Church, will continue to petition the Lord on behalf of his wife, Nancy Hurlburt, his son, Pastor Joshua Miles Hurlburt, his daughter, Claire Davis our dear members and Pastor, in addition to the entire Hurlburt Family. Jesus said, "Cast your burden on Him, for earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal." Make God your hope and look to the hills where your help comes from.
"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. For, whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord; whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's."
The God of all grace shall keep you always and in every way.
In the Lord's loving care,
Grace United Church
