Edna B. Cooley's Obituary
Edna B. Cooley, 87, of Cordova, TN, went home to her heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
Edna was born in Mississippi, on March 26, 1939, to the late Delmer and Roberta Knight. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she found her greatest joy in caring for all she loved. Her home was always filled with warmth and the comforting smell of baked goods and a good homecooked meal. She poured love into everything she did.
A faithful servant of God, she lived her life guided by grace, kindness, and quiet strength. Her faith was the foundation of her life and a light that touched everyone around her.
Edna enjoyed the simple pleasures, watching basketball and football, keeping up with her favorite soap operas, and proudly tending to her collection of Barbie Dolls, each of which having a story.
Above all, she will be remembered for her unwavering love and devotion to her family. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished so deeply, and in the countless lives she touched with her spirit.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cooley is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Cooley, sister, Charlene Gray, and brother, Rubin Knight.
Edna is survived by her children, Kenneth Murphy, Janet Cooley, and Keith Cooley; grandchildren, Eric Garrison (Darlesia) and Quiana Cooley; great-grandson, Aiden Garrison; and brother, Charles Knight.
Visitation for Mrs. Cooley will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Another visitation will be held Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church (1234 Pisgah Road, Cordova, TN) before services, beginning at 9:00 AM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday May 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM, at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
