Edna Sutton Brown's Obituary
Edna Sutton Campbell Brown, age 96, passed away on June 13. She was preceded in death by her parents Claude Davis and Christine Hamilton Sutton; first husband, John William Campbell, and second husband, George E. Brown; and, brothers C.D. and Lynn Sutton. She is survived by sons Bill (Beth) and John (Pam) Campbell; grandchildren Anne Calton (John), Missy Markham (Doug), Chip Campbell (Anastasia) of Nashville; and, Patrick Sala of Memphis. “Momma Edna” to her family, leaves her 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Edna resided for 14 years at the St. Paul Retirement Center where was active, leading a discussion group on Saturdays. Prior to moving to Nashville she lived in Columbia, SC where she sang in the choir at Rehoboth Methodist Church. Graveside services were held on June 15 at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memphis. The family will receive visitors on Monday, June 20 at 4:00 p.m. at the St. Paul Retirement Center, 5031 Hillsboro Rd. in Nashville. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Nashville Rescue Mission, 639 Lafayette St., Nashville, 37203.
