Edgar "Eddie" Stone Allen's Obituary
Edgar “Eddie” Stone Allen, 85, died on February 8, 2018 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy Ann Stringfellow Allen. He was a retired sales rep with the Norfolk Southern Railroad. He served as a deacon at Whitehaven Baptist Church and Bellevue Baptist Church and was one of the founding board members for the Northpoint Christian School (formerly SBEC). Eddie is survived by his wife, Carolyn Davis Allen; 3 children, Kathy Singer (Sam) of Kissimmee, FL, Mark Allen (LeAnn) of Cordova, TN, and Julie Fowler (Ken) of Olive Branch, MS; 1 step-son, Les Davis (Barbara) of Tulsa, OK. He was blessed with 3 grandchildren; Josh Allen, Joseph Allen, and Joy Fowler; and 3 step-grandchildren; John, Mark and Stephen Davis. He is also survived by a sister, Martha Manning (Glenn). In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to the Baptist Reynolds Hospice House. Visitation will be 5-7 PM on Sunday, February 11 and the funeral service will be at 10 AM, Monday, February 12 at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
