Eddie A Perkins' Obituary
Eddie Alonzo Perkins, 81, passed away on April 29, 2023. Eddie was born to Clarence and Mabel Perkins and was raised in Memphis, TN. He was a Journeyman/Machinist/Electrician/HVAC and retired from FedEx and GE. He was a member of Waypoint Baptist Church. Eddie was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, and motorcycle riding. He also had a love for dancing and music, frequently playing the guitar and singing at social functions.
Eddie is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Beverly Nelson Perkins, and his children: David Allen Perkins (Erin) of Bartlett, TN; Theresa Dawn Perkins Collier (Michael) of Atoka, TN; Cathy Perkins (Dan Winfield) of Shelby County, TN; Charlie Perkins (Joann) of Shelby County, TN; and Wendy Milian (Ronald Webb) of Memphis, TN. Eddie was “granddaddy” to a multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition, he leaves a brother, Mike Perkins (Rachelle) of Bartlett, TN; a sister, Donna Perkins Martin (Gene) of Bartlett, TN, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the service time at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. Interment will be in Memphis Memory Gardens.
The family would like to thank Eddie’s caregivers, Blanca Garcia and Anita White for their dedicated service.
