Ed R. Currie, Jr.'s Obituary
Edwin R. Currie JR, 50, of Cordova went to be with the Lord Friday December 31, 2010. Ed was a loving husband, father, and devoted friend. He loved his family, and he loved the Lord. He touched the lives of many, and will be missed greatly. Ed will be remembered for his witty sense of humor, and his servant’s heart. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years Bobbie and their three children: Emily of Conway, AR, Elyssa of Worchester, MA, and Adam attending Cornell University. His two sisters, Jackie Weir and Bobbye Blackwell, also survive him. Ed was preceded in death by his mother Norma Currie, and his father Edwin R. Currie SR. He was an active member at Highpoint Church in Memphis, where he served faithfully. His favorite scripture is: “Trust the Lord with all your heart, and don’t depend on your own understanding; Remember the Lord in all you do, and he will give you success.†Proverbs 3:5-6 NCV. The Currie family will receive friends from 4;30-8:00 on Sunday, January, 2, 2010, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 3, 2010, at 1:00 pm at Highpoint Church 6000 Briarcrest Avenue Memphis, TN 38120
