Dudley Boston's Obituary
Dudley Kelly Boston of Germantown went to be with his Heavenly Father on November 12, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents Winford and Lucille Boston of Memphis. He is survived by his wife Florence Ann Boston and her children, Laurie King Jackson (Jack) and their sons Nash, Zach, & Cody Jackson of Collierville; Susan King Center (Matt) and their sons Blake & Chandler Center of Atlanta; and Cratin King (Abi) and their son Wilkins, & daughter Ellie King of Germantown; and his son Jonathan Boston of Germantown and his daughter Lara and son Scott Boston; and his daughter Kelly Kidd and her daughter Mackenzie Kidd of Fort Walton, Florida. He is also survived by a brother-in-law Keith Wilkins (Lucy) of Hot Springs, AR and their sons Keith and John Wilkins Dudley graduated from South Side High School and Memphis State University. He taught at Germantown High School where he also coached the girls’ softball team and kept the football stats for 20 years. He was a faithful and active member of Bellevue Baptist Church where he served as an usher & a host on the new member committee. He was a follower of Christ and considered it an honor to be used by Him. He will be remembered for his love of life, and his sense of humor expressed throughout his life into his final days. He loved sports (especially football), and music. His infectious smile and his friendliness to all will be missed by those who knew him. Services honoring his homegoing will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Poplar with visitation at 1:00, followed by his service at 2:30 on Monday. Burial will be at Southwoods Cemetery on Hacks Cross Road.
