Duane Herrington's Obituary
Duane Allen Herrington, 78, of Germantown, Tennessee, passed away on June 24, 2026.
He was born September 15, 1947, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Sadie Vaughn Herrington and the late Douglas Allen Herrington.
Duane was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Kay Herrington, whom he loved dearly. He took great care of her until her passing in 2017, showing the kind of dedication and love that meant everything to him.
He is survived by his mother, Sadie V. Herrington of Olive Branch, Mississippi; his son, John Herrington of Memphis; and his daughter, Meredith Shoemaker (Jason) of Pleasant Gap, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by his brother, John Darryl Herrington (Rosemary) of Foley, Alabama, stepdaughter, Elisa Nabors (Mark) of Arlington, Tennessee and stepson, Scott Spear of Arlington, Tennessee along with six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Duane was a retired financial advisor with Raymond James & Associates, Inc. and enjoyed the simple things in life—watching Ole Miss football, playing pickleball, and spending time helping with the mission program and Men’s Class at Grace Evangelical Church, where he was an active member. He valued his church family and the chance to lend a helping hand
He will be remembered for his steady presence, his kindness, and the love he had for his family.

Services for Duane will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026 at 1:00pm in the Riverside Chapel. The family will receive family and friends for visitation an hour prior to the service beginning at 12:00pm. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
