I will miss Doyle’s friendly and genuine smile, and the deep booming voice that shared all of those wonderful stories of his life experiences. Doyle would periodically stop and visit as he made his rounds on the FedEx campus. He spoke fondly of his family and the people he’d previously worked with. As we’d part, he would always say “let’s have lunch sometime”. I wanted his family to know that Doyle cast a wide shadow of positive influence that enriched the lives of many people. I feel blessed to have know him, and will think of him often.
Mr. Childress certainly had a larger than life personality and his laugh could light up an entire room! My family went to church with the Childress family and I worked with Mr. Childress at SCB. He was so kind. He always told the funniest jokes and loved his family more than anything else.
