Cook, Douglas Devon's Obituary
Douglas Devon Cook, age 67, passed away on March 20, 2025. Born on August 4, 1957, Doug lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and an appreciation for the finer things in life.
For nearly 37 years, Doug contributed his talents and work ethic to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where he formed lasting friendships and made a significant impact.
Doug was a man of immense heart, always willing to go the extra mile for his family and friends. His love for them was a constant and unwavering presence in his life. He cherished every moment spent with those he held dear.
He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Thomas Cook (2011) and Helen Cook (2017). He is survived by his loving sister, Karen Cook Ward, his cherished niece, Katherine Ward Labbe (Michael), and grand nephew, Patrick Labbe who will forever hold his memory close.
Doug had a variety of passions that brought him joy. He was a devoted dog lover, finding companionship and comfort in his furry friends. He considered himself a true foodie, always eager to explore new culinary experiences. He enjoyed expressing himself through fashion and was known for his fun and vibrant looks.
His warm smile, generous spirit, and thoughtful nature will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. To honor Doug’s memory donations may be made to the animal shelter of your choice.
