Dorothy Louise Welch's Obituary
Dorothy “Gommy” Welch, 97 passed away peacefully in her daughter’s arms at her home in Memphis and reunited with her cherished husband Harold in Heaven on Friday, August 2, 2013. She had a deep love for family and friends, a beautiful smile, a great sense of humor, and a unique twinkle in her eye. She will be remembered for her devotion to God, a passion for gardening, flowers, and cooking, and most of all, tireless sacrifice and dedication to her family. Gommy is survived by her daughter, Janie McDowell (Billy) and granddaughter Shannon of Memphis; sons, Tom Welch (PJ) and Bob Welch (Sara); seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. The family will celebrate her life with friends Monday, August 5, from 11:30 a.m. until the service begins at 1:00 p.m., at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery with burial immediately following.
