Dorothy Sorce's Obituary
Dorothy Mae Sorce, age 86, entered Heaven on October 26, 2018. She had been a resident of Kirby Pines Retirement Community in Memphis since 2011.She was born at home in Bolivar, Tennessee on May 2, 1932, to Russell A. Naylor and Nannie Mae Keller.Mrs. Sorce was a homemaker. She was a Baptist and attended Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis. She enjoyed gardening, reading, shopping for antiques, and spending time with family.She was preceded in death by her father in 1959, her mother in 1980, and her husband Anthony J. Sorce in 2003.She is survived by her brother Paul (Betty) Naylor, and children, Robert (Carol) Doyle of Piperton, TN, Barry Doyle of Mena, AR, and Patricia (Jim) Stagg of Memphis, TN, and four grandchildren.The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 1 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. with a Graveside service to follow immediately at 2:30 p.m. All services will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.
