Dorothy Paris' Obituary
Heaven has just received the most beautiful, elegant angel! Dorothy Marie Barrere Paris (98) past peacefully Wednesday afternoon with her family by her side. Dorothy was formerly co-owner of The New Whitehouse Café along with her late husband Chris Paris. She had such a beautiful life – always surrounded by her loving children- Anna Paris, Evangline Paris, Barbara Paris, James (Trish) Paris and Kathy (Michael) Zambelis. The biggest loves who she was so proud to have were her grandsons, John Michael and Chris Zambelis, who she helped raise to be wonderful caring men. She leaves many nieces, and a lifelong group of friends.Dorothy worked for many years at Ronco Foods as a secretary. She also worked doing phone survey’s for a National Survey Company getting people’s opinions on various brand name products. She was an active member of the Annunciation Greek Church, Elpis Philoptochos and Young at Heart. She taught Sunday School at church for many years. She loved being a part of the church community and loved their beloved members. Dorothy had a love for flowers, birds and her favorite hobbies of Word Find puzzles and playing and of course, winning at Bingo!The family asks that you join them on Friday, February 23rd for the visitation at Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5-7 pm with the Trisigion at 5 pm and on Saturday, February 24th at 12 noon at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church for the funeral and luncheon (Makaria) afterwards. All donations can be made to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church or a charity of choice.
