Dorothy Olivi's Obituary
Dorothy Martin Olivi, 91, passed away after a short illness on October 6, 2013 at her home. In 1986, she retired from Bellsouth Telephone Company after 45 years of dedicated service and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She was a communicant at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and attended Central Christian Church. At age 65, she married the love of her life Sam Olivi, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Olivi is survived by her stepchildren, Dottie Crawford, Linda Nunnelee, and Bo Olivi; step-grandchildren, Rena Baker, Jimmy Burford, Sammy Burford, Kathy Russell, and Debbie Doran; niece, Linda Johnson; nephew, John David Martin; great-nieces and nephews, Melissa Widmer, Bradford Lott, Jeanice Davis, Amanda Martin, John David Martin, Jr., and Jeremy Martin; 11 step- great-great-grandchildren; and four great-great-nieces and nephews. Although she had no children of her own, she was a mother to many. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until the service begins at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 9 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Dot lived life to the fullest until the very end.
