Dorothy Pounders Langley's Obituary
Dorothy Fay Pounders Langley was born on November 16, 1931, in Olive Branch, Mississippi to Percy P. and Willie Mac Pounders. She is survived by her brother, Percy P. Pounders, Junior. Throughout her life, she served the Lord and sought His glory as a nurse, the wife of 52 years to Eugene Langley, and the mother to two children, Michael E. Langley and Kim Langley Jorgensen. She lived in Memphis, Tennessee, and attended River Oaks PCA Church. She was the beloved grandmother of six grandchildren: Adam Langley (Elizabeth), Anna Lisa Currid (David), Rob Langley (Lizzy), Mary Kathryn Davis (Conner), Grace Copeland (Stephen), and Julianne Jorgensen, and she was the devoted great-grandmother of three great-grandchildren. She loved well, served well, and ran the race well. After 86 years, Dorothy Langley returned home to Jesus’s arms on November 22, 2017. Join us in celebrating Dorothy’s life at River Oaks Presbyterian Church on Monday, November 27, 2017, with visitation occurring at 10 a.m. and the memorial service at 11 a.m. Please send any memorials to River Oaks PCA Church.
