Dorothy C H's Obituary
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Dorothy, who entered the arms of her Savior on January 26, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born on June 16, 1935, and from the moment she graced this world, she lived a life full of faith, love, and devotion.
Dorothy was a follower of Jesus Christ above all else. Her unwavering faith guided her every step, and she lived as a testament to His grace. She shared the gospel through her words, actions, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met. Her love for the Lord was not just spoken, it was shown in the way she cared for her family, her friends, and even those she met on her journeys.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother—roles she cherished more than anything. Dorothy’s love knew no bounds, and she poured her heart into raising and nurturing her family. She is survived by her two sons, David and Larry Robin, and their wives, Ellen and Kim. Her love and wisdom will live on through her three grandchildren, John, Emma, and Joshua, and her two great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Victor.
Dorothy was also a loving sister to Lillian Ann, who never left her side during her courageous battle with cancer. Their bond was unbreakable, a testament to the power of family and devotion.
She was not only a woman of deep faith but also a global adventurer, a seeker of knowledge, and a friend to people across the world. From Europe to Asia, her travels were filled with wonder and purpose, as she embraced different cultures and spread the love of Christ wherever she went. Through her lifelong friendships with Pam and Sam she made at her church serving in Sunday School, her pen pals Mia, Huub, Bep, Jef, and Aranka from Holland, and her many coworkers at the school system where she served as a school secretary, she touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her.
Dorothy left this world peacefully, at home, surrounded by her family — a moment that encapsulated the love and connection she so deeply valued. Though our hearts are sad, we take comfort in knowing she has found eternal peace, reunited with loved ones, and embraced by the glory of heaven.
A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at a graveside service on Friday, January 31, 2025, where we will honor the beautiful soul, she was.
Rest in peace, Mom, Nana, and Dot Dot. You will be missed beyond words, but your love will forever remain in our hearts.
"Well done, good and faithful servant." — Matthew 25:23
