Dorothy Gowen's Obituary
Dorothy Louise Gowen, 92, of Port Royal, South Carolina formerly of Memphis passed away Friday, May 25, 2012 at Helena Hospice House in Port Royal. She was co-owner with her husband of an upholstery and drapery shop and a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. Mrs. Gowen was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell Clay Gowen; brothers, Phillip and A.T. Sisk; and is survived by her children, Betty Black of Oklahoma City, OK, Gina Stiles of Jacksonville, FL, Spencer Gowen of Elizabethtown, KY, Steve Gowen of Bartlett, TN and Brian Gowen of Bluffton, SC; sisters, Jean Fisher of Memphis and Martha Hooper of Byhalia, MS; 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm until the service time at 2:30 pm, Saturday, June 2, 2012 both at Memorial Park Funeral Home-Memphis with the interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
