Dorothy M. Fili, 89 of Bartlett, TN, passed away on December 26, 2020. Ms. Fili is survived by her son, Joseph (Lori) Fili, grandchildren, Jonathan and Christina Fili, sister, Mary Ann McCarthy. Dorothy was preceded in death by h Read Obituary
Dorothy, my sweet sister. You are going to be missed every day from now on. I really admired your ability to laugh and laugh all our lives together. You were an amazing nurse and I know that you always did your best for all your patients. I will also remember how relieved you were when you retired as you told me you were so glad not to have to wear white again (standard nurse attire).
I also know that you will be happy to be reunited with our brothers, Frank and Joe. Also, along side our mother, Mary. We had some challenging times growing up in Friars Point, MS, but we were a strong sibling group. There was much love in our family.
I will treasure all our memories together will our trips to Washington D.C. and Myrtle Beach and of course coming to see you in Memphis. We also had some great stories to tell about our times together. Plus all the food we ate (at Frank and Barbara's house).
Give thanks to the Lord, as He is good.

I used to sit with Dorothy at our Red Hat meetings sometimes. She had a good sense of humor. She talked about her love for her family and was very proud of them. Dorothy was a beautiful woman dressed in her Red Hat regalia and her spirit was loving and kind. I send prayers to her family for God’s love and peace to hold you tight during this time of loss and grief.

I used to take Dorothy to Red Hat meetings. When Kay Reich wasn't with us to keep me on track, Dorothy and I would sometimes get lost. Both of us had a terrible sense of direction outside of Bartlett. I'll miss her easy smile and the twinkle in her eye.
