Dorothy Bailey Evans' Obituary
Dorothy Bailey Evans of Memphis, TN, mother to Shari Evans Buford and Walter Charles Evans Jr., passed away on September 21, 2024 peacefully in her sleep at the age of 91.
Known for her love of family and her dedication to her community, Dorothy will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Dorothy’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara Bailey Barnes of Fair Oaks, CA, and her beloved grandchildren Justin Buford, Walter Evans III, and Dominique Evans and their families.
A private ceremony will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery and the family will receive friends there at 9am on October 11, 2024. Flowers and memorial gifts are welcome but not necessary
