Dorothy Barker's Obituary
Dorothy “Dot” Cynthia Barker, born January 20,1925 in Memphis, passed away on December 23, 2015 at the age of 90. She was a life-long Memphian and the first female inducted into both the City and State Bowling Hall of Fame. Retired from International Harvester as well as an avid golfer she was loved, adored and respected by many. In 2012,in honor of her countless awards and bowling championships,Dot was inducted into the Memphis Amateur Sports Hall of Fame. She will be deeply missed by her surviving family. Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. will host a visitation on Tuesday December 29 from 12:30-2:00 p.m. with a service immediately thereafter. A reception on-site will follow. Memorials and donations are requested to be made to Madonna Learning Center.
