Doris Winters Goodman's Obituary
Doris Eleanor Winters Goodman was born in Jackson, MS, on August 26, 1950, and passed away on November 26, 2024.
She was predeceased by her parents, James William Winters (affectionately known as “J.W.”) and Teresa Lorraine Winters, as well as her brother, James Lindsay Winters, and two of her sisters, Nelda Faye Winters and Leslie Carol Berryhill.
She is survived by her two sons, James Nicholas Goodman and Christopher Allan Goodman, and sisters, Patsy Ann Stewart, Barbara Sue Cheek, and Brenda Winters Hitt, as well as three loving grandchildren, Gabriel, Madeline and Delilah, not to mention a host of nieces and nephews.
She was a highly valued associate of BPI Incorporated, from which she had recently retired, and prior to that, W.M. Barr. She was a graduate of Whitehaven High School, Class of 1968.
Her family and friends will deeply miss her sense of humor, lovely demeanor and her willingness to help others.
Graveside service for Doris will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 12:00pm in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation an hour prior to the services starting at 11:00am at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
