Doris was a beloved and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was active in her church. Faith and family were the two most important things in her life. She decided to become a homemaker when her children were born, and thoroughly enjoyed cooking and caring for them. She and Virgil camped every weekend for many years so the family could spend time together.
She was famous for her southern cooking which she practiced until she couldn’t any longer. Her banana pudding is just one of many dishes we all loved. She thoroughly enjoyed gardening and taking care of her yard. She bagged leaves well into her eighties.
Doris was deeply loved by her family and friends. Her smile, willingness to serve others and love of life will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
