Donna Simmons Sage's Obituary
Donna Simmons Sage, 76, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at home.
Donna was a devoted wife and mother, but the true highlight of her life was the title "Nana." She treasured her grandchildren and lived for every moment spent with them.
Known for her quick wit and spunky sense of humor, Donna was also a respected and successful business owner. When she wasn't running her business or doting on her family, Donna could be found keeping up with her favorite shows, ranging from cooking and tennis to the winter sport of curling. She was also the family’s unofficial meteorologist, closely monitoring the weather so she could call loved ones near and far to tell them exactly what to expect. A gifted creator, she was a master at crocheting and sewing; every baby in the family was welcomed with a custom-made blanket, stitched with love.
Donna was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Stevens Sage; her mother, Francis McCormick; her grandparents, "Mama" and "Papa" Pace; and her aunt and uncle, Joyce and Jerry Atkins.
She is survived by her three daughters, Paula Plumlee, Jaime Sage (Bruce), and Courtney Sage (Mark); and her brother, William Simmons Jr. Her legacy lives on through her four cherished grandchildren: Elijah Tucker, Jacob Tucker, Peyton Youngs, and William Sage. She also leaves behind her cousin, Jeri-Ellen Atkins, and many dear friends
Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38119 (901) 767-8930. “Where Memphis comes to remember, since 1924.”
