Donna Risner's Obituary
Donna Lee Carson Risner, 65, went home to her heavenly Father on August 10, 2016. Donna was born in Memphis, Tennessee on October 2, 1950. She lived in Memphis working in telecommunications with AT&T for the majority of her career and spent the last several years as a project manager with the Saia Trim Group. Donna loved her Lord , and her family and friends fiercely. She was a strong woman who fought cancer for over four years. Through her cancer struggle she always remained positive and steady in her faith. Donna was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church and shared her faith with everyone and was an inspiration to many. While she was a small person in stature she was a big person in love and faith and for that she will always be remembered. Donna was preceded in death by her father Robert Lee Carson and mother Macie Brigham Carson. She is survived by her son and his wife Chris and Misty Risner of Lakeland, TN; her grandsons Bryce Warren, Drew Warren and Garret Risner of Lakeland, TN. She is also survived by her siblings and nieces: sister Bobby Jean Hall (Joe) of Waverly, TN, Rebecca Kriger (Marty) of Germantown, TN, brother Robert Lee Carson of Memphis, TN , Rebekah Giambelluca of Memphis, TN ,Macie Kriger (Chicago, IL), and Taylor Giambelluca. She will be remembered with vitiation at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday August 13 with visitation from 9-10 a.m. and service at 10 a.m. with burial immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
