Donald O. Todd's Obituary
Donald O. Todd, age 89, died peacefully on July 24th at his home in Germantown. “Don” (or to his beloved grandchildren, “Granddaddy”), was born in Memphis on August 2nd, 1932, to the late Orville and Dorothy Todd.
After attending Southside High School and Memphis State University, he was commissioned into the U.S. Air Force where he served 21 years. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Don then joined the Systems Development Department at Memphis state until his retirement in 1994.
Don is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dorothy (“Dottie”) Todd; his son, Shannon (Cindy) Wright; his daughter, Robin Hargett; grandchildren, Katie Hargett, Tae Hargett, Luke Wright, and Tanner Wright – all of Memphis; sister, Gail (Fred) Strawn of Denver, Colorado; and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Ann Wright.
A memorial service will take place on Monday, August 22, 2022, at Memorial Park Funeral Home (5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38120) beginning at 11:00 am.
