Donald Eugene Hines' Obituary
Donald Hines, 83, went to be with the Lord on December 2, 2015. He was born in Shelby County on August 20, 1932. He was employed at Humko and retired from Coors Brewing Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Millington. He served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force. At one time, Donnie raised cattle, showed Appaloosa horses locally and statewide, and enjoyed tractor pulls and professional football games. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Virginia (Hill) Hines and two brothers, Bob Hines and Harrell Hines. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Charlotte (Irby) Hines, sister, Gail Barnes (Vence), sister-in-law, Lynda Darnell, nieces, Karen, Laura, Rhonda, nephews Bobby, Patrick, Rusty, Ricky, and many special friends, John, Sonny, Norman, Maxie, Dewayne, G.W., Bill, and Bob Fletcher. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Francis Hospital – Bartlett, Baptist Memorial Hospital, and Trinity Hospice. Visitation will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday, December 7 at 10:30-11:30 a.m. Funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
