Donald Crull's Obituary
Donald Benjamin Crull passed away at age 99 on October 19, 2011 in Ormond Beach, Florida. A native of Kentucky, he was the son of Anna E. and Harley R. Crull of Louisville, Kentucky. He attended Purdue University and graduated from the University of Kentucky. After graduation, he was employed by IBM and transferred to Memphis, Tennessee where he became territory supervisor of customer engineering. He retired from IBM in 1991 after 36 years. Don was a gentle and caring father and husband. He was a dedicated, active member of the Christian church all of his life, serving as a deacon at Merton Avenue, Central and Lindenwood Christian Churches during his lifetime. He worked with the church youth groups, the Boy Scouts, and with his wife of 44 years, Louise, managed the Food Pantry for the needy at Lindenwood. Together they delivered Meals on Wheels for many years. He greatly enjoyed golf and played until in his 90s. He is survived by his wife, Louise Brooks Crull, his children, Julie Goddard of Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, Elgin Crull (Susan) of Louisville, Kentucky, Peggy Crull of New York, New York, his step-daughter, Nancy Sullivan of Ormond Beach, Florida and his granddaughter, Anna Crull of New York, New York. He was preceded in death by Frances Schroeder Crull, his first wife in 1966, his brother, Elgin E. Crull in 1976, and his parents. There will be a graveside service at Memorial Park at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2011 (meet at funeral home at 1:15 p.m.). A gathering of family and friends at the Memorial Park Funeral Home from 2:00 to 3:30 will follow the service.
