DONALD (TONY) ANTONE BREWER (68), went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 7:40 PM
Tony was born in St Louis, MO on April 8th, 1956, the son of James Raymond Brewer and Betty Ann Bryant.
Tony was a longtime resident of Jonesboro, AR. He was a cherished husband, father, daddy-in-law, favorite uncle, beloved big brother and a friend to many, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter and bantering that will be deeply missed. A retired contractor and proud Air Force veteran, Tony was always glad to lend a helping hand. He found joy in simple pleasures, whether fishing on the lake, tending to his garden, grilling up a feast, or spending time with his family and grandchildren. Tony’s presence filled every gathering with warmth and humor that left a lasting mark on all who knew him. His absence leaves a great heaviness in the hearts of his family and friends, who will carry his memory forward with love and gratitude.
Tony is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Shirley McCoy Brewer. His sons David (Jennifer) Brewer of Wentzville, MO; Daniel Aaron (Fonda) Brewer of Greenbrier, AR; Christopher Sean (Taylor) Thomas of Jonesboro, AR; Kevin Bradley (Sara) Thomas of Jonesboro, AR; and daughter Rachel Michele Kennedy of Greenbrier, AR; and his eleven grandchildren, McCoy Thomas, Aaron Kennedy, Amber Brewer, Hadlee Gregory, Holland Thomas, Katelyn Brewer, Cody Brewer, Casey Brewer, Cara Brewer, Luke Frank and Aspen Frank.
Tony will also be dearly missed by his 7 surviving siblings; Brenda Moore of Maumelle, AR; Tim (Rebekyah) Brewer of Sadler, TX; Kem (Charlotte) Brewer of Crossett, AR; Nick (Sherry) Brewer of Damascus, AR; Chris Miller of Fayetteville, AR; Jennifer (Eric) Grierson of St. Louis, MO and Angie (Ryan) Harrell of Imperial, MO along with many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces, and many, many friends.
Tony was preceded in death by his father James Raymond Brewer, his mother Betty Miller, his brother Steve Brewer, his sister Linda Cooper, niece Kymberly Nicole Hardin and special brother in heart, Dave Cook.
The family of Tony Brewer will receive friends and loved ones to join them at their family home in Jonesboro, AR, on Friday, November 22nd from 4:00-6:00pm. This gathering is a time to honor Tony’s memory through shared stories, reflections and fellowship.
A Graveside Service for Tony Brewer will be held at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd, Memphis, TN 38125.
