Donald M. Austin's Obituary
Dr. Donald M. Austin, age 78, passed away surrounded by family. Donald was preceded in death by parents, Katherine M. and Larry W. Austin, and siblings, Larry M. and Beverley. He is survived by brother, James, children, Scott and Lisa, and four grandchildren. He was in the Air Force, then attended Memphis State University (bachelor’s degree – physics, 1964) and Iowa State University (Ph.D. physics – 1967). Donald worked on the Advanced Research Projects Agency Network (ARPANET), at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory in Berkeley, California and at the Department of Energy.
