Dixie Lee Gibbons Beall's Obituary
Dixie Lee Gibbons Beall, 90, of Memphis passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012. She was a native of Rutherford, Gibson County, Tennessee and the eldest girl of 14 born to Smith and Lillian Harrison Gibbons. Mrs. Beall was also a housewife, artist, collector of arts, and antiques. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Ed Beall in 1992; and survived by her 4 children, Linda Beall Medley, Ed Beall, Jr., Becky Beall Simmons, Wendell Beall; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; 8 siblings, Pearl Miles, Ruth Brundige, Justine Soro, Alice Jackson, James Gibbons, Davis Gibbons, Glenn Gibbons and Jere Gibbons. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, September 18, 2012, and a funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 19, 2012 both at Memorial Park Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Agape Child and Family Services, 111 Racine St., Memphis, TN, 38111.
