Diane Duncan Phillips' Obituary
Diane Duncan Phillips, of Eads, TN, passed away on May 25th at her home.
Born on April 6th in Memphis, TN, Diane was known for her big personality, generous heart, and the positive energy she carried into every room. She had a gift for making people feel welcome, comfortable, and loved.
Music was a meaningful part of Diane’s life and work through her connection to the Phillips family's musical legacy. That world also brought her to the love of her life, Knox Phillips.
Diane had something positive to say about almost everything. She loved boldly, gave generously, and never passed someone in need without helping. One of her favorite things to say was, “I love you BIG,” and that is exactly how she lived. She loved big, laughed big, gave big, and left a light behind that will continue to shine in the lives of everyone who knew her.
Diane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Knox Phillips, and her sister, Carolyn Kirk.
She is survived by her sister, Amy “Kathleen” Emberg; her brother-in-law, Jerry Phillips; her nieces, Samantha Wright (Jermie), Jessica Felts (Scott), Melanie Franklin, Roxanne Phillips-Tays (Zeth), Halley Phillips (Michael) and Amy Giannopoulous ; many great nieces and nephews; her lifelong friend, Sally Wilbourn; close family friend, Tawanda Jones; and many other family members and dear friends who were blessed by her warmth, joy, and unforgettable love.
A Memorial Service will be held on June 4th at 11:00 am at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. Visitation at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Diane’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM, in the Fireside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin, following visitation, at 11:00 AM.
