Susan Diane McKinney, 60, passed away due to Cystic Fibrosis on December 14, 2014. She was a longtime member of Bellevue Baptist Church. Ms. McKinney was retired from Pricewatershousecoopers. Ms. McKinney was preceded in death by Read Obituary
Diane was a very special friend. We shared the privilege of serving together as sidewalk counselors. Her sense of humor, hospitality, and humility were part of her wonderful character. Pleasant and genuine, she was a giving and thoughtful lady who was interested in and cared about others. I will miss her. With admiration and appreciation, John Stewart
I remember Diane from Max Williams’ Sunday School class at Bellevue Baptist Church. I always remember how courageous she was in dealing with her Cystic Fibrosis. She always had an optimistic outlook.
Diane was the kindest, gentlest, most thoughtful and caring spirit I have ever known! She fought her disease with strength and courage, without complaint. She was always thinking of others. She was a loving and generous sister-in-law and a patient and loving aunt to her neice and nephews. She was greatly loved by many and will be greatly missed as well. My Aunt Diane was an amazing woman. I have always admired her strength. She lived her whole life fighting her disease with courage. While I was attending Christian Brothers University, I would visit her at her home. She would make the best coffee (very strong!) and we would sit and talk for hours. Her faith was the bedrock of her strength. She would let me know every time I saw her that she had been praying for me and was keeping me in her thoughts. I spoke to her about a week before she passed, and the last words we said were “I love you.” I know she can finally rest in peace and that her soul is breathing without difficulty. I hope to live with the strength and courage I learned from my beautiful Aunt Diane.– Susan Blair McKinney
If someone asked me to describe Diane in one word, that word would be treasure. Diane was a treasure – sweetness, kindness, considerate, loving, a priceless jewel. She was treasured by her immediate and also her extended family. One of the greatest gifts that God has given to me was to have Diane as my cousin. She is in perfect health now for the very first time. Thank you Lord for the gift of Diane.
Diane was a great sister and a sweet soul. I’ll miss her very much.
